How do I create my first biography?

Creating a personal biography is the first step in documenting your life story. With just a few simple steps, you can start writing your own life archive.

Sign up or log in

If you don't have an account yet, click the "Get Started Free" button to register. If you already have an account, simply log in.

Go to the creation page

Click the "Create Biography" button on the homepage, or select "Personal Biography" from the navigation bar.

Fill in basic information

Enter your display name, birth year, location, and other basic information. These fields are optional and can be changed anytime.

Write your life story

Write down what you want to record in the text box. It can be childhood memories, life reflections, messages to family, or any other content.

Save your biography

Click "Save This Life Record" button, and your biography is successfully created!

Tip

Free users can save up to 10 characters of biography content and 1 photo. Upgrade to a paid plan for more storage space.

How do I upload photos and videos?

Photos and videos are the most intuitive way to record life. My Life supports uploading various media formats.

Supported File Formats

  • Images: JPG, PNG, GIF, WebP (max 10MB per file)
  • Videos: MP4, MOV (Family Plan and above, max 500MB per file)

Upload Steps

Go to the edit page

Open your biography or Family Circle and find the upload area.

Select files

Click the upload area or drag and drop files into the upload box.

Wait for upload to complete

Files will automatically upload and show previews. Remember to save after uploads complete.

Tip

Compressing photos before uploading saves storage space and speeds up uploads.

How do I create a Family Circle?

A Family Circle is a shared space designed for family members to document family history and share precious memories together.

Go to the Family Circle page

Click "Family Circle" in the homepage navigation, or use the "Create Family Circle" button from your personal biography page.

Click the create button

On the Family Circle list page, click the "Create New Family Circle" card.

Fill in family information

Enter your family name (e.g., "The Johnson Family"), a brief description, and your location.

Invite family members

After creation, you can invite family to join via email or invitation link.

How do I invite family members?

Invite family to participate together and make your family memories richer and more complete.

Invitation Methods

  • Share invitation link: Copy the invitation link and send it to family
  • Email sharing: Send invitations via email
  • Direct add: Manually add family member information

Member Permissions

Family Circle supports different member permission settings:

  • Admin: Can manage members, edit family information, delete content
  • Member: Can view content, post stories, upload photos
Tip

You can enable "Allow members to invite" in Family Circle settings, letting members invite other family members to join.

How do I set privacy permissions?

Your privacy is paramount. My Life provides flexible privacy setting options.

Biography Visibility

  • Private: Default setting, only you can view
  • Family Circle visible: Family Circle members can view
  • Public: Everyone can view (will appear on homepage showcase)

Modify Privacy Settings

Open biography edit page

Go to your personal biography and click the edit button.

Set visibility options

Check or uncheck the "Make my biography public to everyone" option.

Save settings

Click the save button, privacy settings take effect immediately.

How do I protect my account security?

Account security is the first line of defense for protecting your precious memories.

Security Tips

  • Use strong passwords: Passwords should contain letters and numbers, at least 8 characters
  • Change password regularly: Recommended every 3-6 months
  • Keep your email updated: Used for password recovery and security notifications
  • Don't share account: Your account is for personal use only

If You Forgot Your Password

Click forgot password

Click the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page.

Verify identity

Enter your registered email address. You'll receive a password reset link.

Set new password

Click the link in your email to set a new login password.

Security Reminder

We will never ask for your password in any way. If you receive suspicious messages, please contact customer support immediately.
